Meet Diana Barrett!

Diana is very passionate about assisting her clients with anxiety and stress-related conditions, depression and other mood-related issues, business and career growth, dating and relationship conflicts. Whether you have limiting behavioral, mental and emotional patterns and habits, low self-esteem and lack of confidence, or simply feeling stuck and in need of a coach or mentor for support in reaching your goals and fullest potential, Diana can help. 8Diana’s work experience began in private practice at Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI) in Tarzana, in August 2011. As part of her clinical training in psychology, she went on to complete two year-long traineeships in mental health in the Los Angeles area. She has over 8 years of clinical experience as a Marriage & Family Therapist Registered Intern in three different organizations in the Los Angeles area and the San Francisco Peninsula. In an effort to continue learning and increase her ability to serve her clients, in 2015 Diana enrolled in a Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University (Costa Mesa, CA), where she is developing a specialty in Business Consulting.

Diana’s professional counseling experience of over 8 years includes working with individuals and couples of various age groups and cultures in English, Spanish or Romanian. Clients often seek her psychotherapy and hypnotherapy services for anxiety therapy, stress management, business growth or career counseling, relationships, marriage and family counseling, parenting, depression counseling, grief and loss counseling, support for life transitions (starting college, getting married, separation or divorce counseling, relocation, career changes, retirement, empty nest) and trauma (past or present). Her sessions can be provided either in the office, on the phone, or online (via ClockTree, the SimplePractice Tele-therapy Platform or Skype ).

Diana is of European descent, speaks four languages fluently and has a background and education in business. She’s skilled, trained and comfortable working with diverse cultures and clients of various ages, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and racial backgrounds. Her European upbringing and background have gifted her with an extensive education and broad experience of the world, cultural sensitivity and awareness, compassion and an advanced ability for understanding human nature.
